Who Can Participate?

Everyone is welcome! Although the official MPFG (Math Prize for Girls) competition is only for girls, this challenge is open to both girls and boys who want to sharpen their math problem-solving skills.

  • For girls invited to the 2025 MPFG: This challenge is an excellent way to prepare under real test conditions. Up to 4 official MPFG participants will be selected to receive detailed grading with personalized feedback to help boost their performance.

  • For general participants: MPFG exams are high-level resources that help strengthen your skills for other competitions like AMC 10/12 and AIME.


Challenge Format

  • Each week, one past MPFG exam will be assigned.

  • Follow the official MPFG rules:

    • 2.5 hours time limit

    • No calculator allowed

    • Complete it independently

  • Grade your own work and submit your scores for each question using the weekly Google Form by 11:59 PM EST on Monday.

  • We will publish a leaderboard of the top 3 scorers among boys and girls each week.

    • 1st Place: 5 points

    • 2nd Place: 3 points

    • 3rd Place: 1 point

  • Final winners (top boy and top girl) will be determined based on cumulative points over all 12 weeks.


Prizes for Final Winners

Each of the top-scoring boy and girl will receive:

  1. A book of your choice from the Art of Problem Solving (AoPS) or AwesomeMath bookstore

  2. $200 credit toward any course offered by www.davincimath.com

Ethical Statement for Participation

By joining this challenge, each participant agrees to uphold the highest standards of academic honesty and fair competition:

  1. Disclosure of Recent MPFG Practice: If I have reviewed any MPFG exams in the past 6 months, I will disclose the years and scores before participating.

  2. Strict Adherence to Schedule: I will not begin any assigned exam before its release date. I may review or redo previous weeks’ exams after submission deadlines.

  3. Independent Work: I will complete all problems entirely on my own—without help from people, online tools, books, or calculators.

  4. Following Official Rules: I will adhere to all MPFG exam rules and any instructions from the organizers.

  5. Honest Reporting: I will submit my score truthfully based on my own performance.

Violations may result in disqualification and ineligibility for prizes or future events.
