Course Feature

The course is to provide students with a comprehensive study guideline for AMC 8 competition. Each lecture is centered with one topic. Dr Shi summarizes the key techniques for each topic with examples demonstrating the uses of the techniques. In addition, each lecture is tailored with a set of training problems which are carefully selected from the past AMC 8 and AMC 10 exams since 2000.

  • Prerequisite

    Required courses: Prealgebra 1 and 2. Recommended courses: Intro Algebra 1; Intro Geometry Chapter 2,4,6,8,11; Intro to Counting Chapter 1-3; Intro Number Theory Chapter 1-7.

  • Targeted Level

    The course is customized to meet the needs of students who aim to attempt and excel in the AMC 8 contest.

    Dr Shi lecture notes and videos; Training problem sets by careful categorization of selected past AMC 8 and AMC 10 problems since 2000.
