AMC 10 Summer Camp: Advanced(Live virtual)
Virtual lectures via Zoom, June 23 - July 28, 15 lectures 4:00 - 5:30pm EST (exact dates are listed in the syllabus). Contact us at [email protected] if you have questions regarding this camp.
The course aims to provide students with rigorous training to efficiently focus on the key elements of the AMC 10 contests and develop crucial problem-solving skills. Dr. Shi's teaching approach emphasizes integrating various topics coherently, which simplifies complex concepts to be easier to grasp. Dr. Shi is especially sharp at identifying the “key” to solving difficult problems and helping students see through complex problems with ease. He often connects the keys and offers students a bigger picture of the underlying connection of these concepts. This rare quality in math instructions can lead to significant improvement over time, as students themselves gain the ability to solve difficult problems with ease.
Completion of the Introduction to Algebra 1, Introduction to Algebra 2, Introduction to Geometry, Introduction to Counting and Probability, Introduction to Number Theory or similar program is required to ensure that students have the necessary math skills to benefit from the course. To maximize the benefits of this course, we also recommend completion of the Intermediate Algebra 1 course or a similar program before taking this course.
Targeted at the medium to hard AMC 10 problems (Questions 10-22). Students scored in the range of 80-90 in the recent AMC 10 will benefit the most from this camp.
